Blaze Take Part In Sunrise Metro Soup-Er Bowl

SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah Blaze are proud to be participating with Sports Radio 1280 The Zone in a "Soup-er-Bowl" party for the men of Sunrise Metro. The event will take place on Sunday, February 3 at Sunrise located in Salt Lake City at 580 South 500 West. Soup and food will be served beginning at 3 p.m. with kickoff time for Super Bowl XLII at 4:15 p.m.

Attendees at the event include Chief, the Intermountain Harley-Davidson Blaze Dancers, Blaze coach RON JAMES, DB JACOBY SHEPHERD (6-1, 192, Oklahoma State), OL ROB GATRELL (6-4, 295, Fresno State) QB JOE GERMAINE (6-2, 220, Ohio State), WR AARON BOONE (6-2, 212, Kentucky), OL MYNIYA SMITH (6-5, 350 Southern) and others.

"It is great to have the opportunity be able to donate our time and service and celebrate good football at the same time," said James. "We love doing these events and look forward to doing more in the future."

Sunrise Metro is a 100-unit permanent, supportive housing complex for people who have formerly been chronically homeless. Sunrise provides these individuals the opportunity to have a home, maintain a job, and progress to self sufficiency through supportive housing.
