Bloomington Blaze News Release
The Bloomington Blaze, fueled by Mid-Illini Credit Union, has signed professional newcomer Marlon Gardner from Neumann University.
Gardner played his entire collegiate career in Pennsylvania with the Neumann Knights. During his freshman campaign, Marlon scored 32 total points (16 goals, 16 assists), had 11 power play goals, was a member of the ECAC-West all-rookie team, and won a national championship. His success continued as during his senior year the Eagle Lake, Ontario native led his team to the ECAC-West championship game. With the second place finish, Gardner ended his season with 11 goals and 15 assists in 24 games played.
"Marlon is coming off a strong collegiate campaign at Neumann University where he was part of a national championship," said Gratz. "He possesses a good shot and a knack for the net."
Ticket packages and sponsorship opportunities for the upcoming season are still available. With any questions, contact the Blaze ticket office at (309) 434-2980 or check out www.bloomingtonblaze.com, Facebook, or Twitter (BLMBlaze) for daily updates.
