SPOKANE - The Utah Blaze suffered their second straight loss Saturday night with a 77-28 setback at Spokane.

Utah quarterback Brett Elliott threw his first quarter touchdowns to Chris Francies and Ben Scott added a field goal to give the Blaze (1-5) a 16-14 lead after the first quarter.

The Shock, who beat the Blaze in Utah's first game of the season, scored 35 second-quarter points to put the game out of reach.

Elliott completed 6-of-11 passes for 75 yards and two scores, while Michael Affleck connected on 9-of-17 passes for 58 yards and two touchdowns - both going to Aaron Boone, who led the Blaze with six receptions.

Akamu Aki and Francies had four catches each.

The Blaze had 131 yards total offense and turned the ball over five times compared to Spokane's 322 yards total offense.

Utah is back in action this Friday night at 7 p.m. when the Blaze host their Western Division foe Arizona at Maakoa Field at the E Center.

The Blaze will be hosting Military Appreciation Night and the return of former Blaze head coach Danny White.
