SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah Blaze are pleased to announce the signing of OL/DL Dan DeMaster (6-5, 315, Eastern Michigan) to the 2011 roster. DeMaster will add depth on both the offensive and defensive line as the team prepares to take on the Tulsa Talons this Saturday, June 11th at Bok Center. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m. (MT).

"We are excited about signing Dan DeMaster to our roster. DeMaster is a versatile lineman and a very good athlete," said Head Coach Ron James. "He is certainly the type of football player we look for in our program and we are looking forward to seeing how he develops in the weeks to come."

DeMaster joins the Blaze after playing collegiately at Eastern Michigan where he started in 11 of 12 games as a senior. In 2009, he started at offensive left tackle in all 12 games. As a senior, he was a team captain on the football, basketball and lacrosse teams. He was named the Lineman of the Year in football, the Most Improved and Defensive Player of the Year in basketball and was a second-team All-League defenseman in lacrosse.
