
Blast to Host "Dog Days of Summer"

INDIANAPOLIS- MorSports and the Indiana Blast will partner with Petco in bringing soccer lovers and dog-lovers together for the first annual "Dog Days of Summer." Fans are invited to bring their dog to the game on Saturday, July 20 when the Blast take on the Cincinnati Riverhawks at Kuntz Soccer Stadium. Kick-off time is 7:35pm and gates open on the Dog Days of Summer at 6:30pm.
Fans are encouraged to send in an audition video showing why their dog should be included in the July 20 half time show. Other special activities for the day will include a Humane Society Dog Days of Summer Adoption Festival, an "ask the vet" booth, doggy goodies and pet care information from Petco, a Doggy Costume Contest, and more.

THIS WEEK-On Wednesday, the Blast took Vancouver to double overtime finishing the game deadlocked at 0-0. The Blast were outshot in the match but goalkeeper Josh Lynk came up big with 16 saves.
After a long evening of travel the Blast faced Portland on Independence Day. The Timbers exploded from the start and took the match from the Blast by a score of 4-1. Rodrigo Costa scored the lone goal for the Blast in the 63rd minute.
UPCOMING MATCHES-The next home match will be Sunday, July 14th at 7:05pm when the Blast host the El Paso Patriots. It's "Thunderstix Night" sponsored by Union Planters Bank. All games are played at Kuntz Memorial Stadium located at 1502 W. 16th street. Kuntz Stadium is an Indy Parks facility.
INDIANA BLAST SOCCER CAMPS-The Blast still have a few openings in several of their camps throughout Central Indiana including Danville July 8-12 and Westfield July 15-19. Space is limited and camps are filling up fast.
