
Blast Resign Three Veteran Players for 2002

INDIANAPOLIS, IN-The Indiana Blast have resigned three players from last years squad for the 2002 season. Forward Jeff Dresser has jumped aboard as well as midfielders Dustin Ottesen and James Prosser.
Dresser, 28, from Flint, Michigan has spent the last four seasons with the Blast. In his career he has contributed to 33 goals and eight assists. Dresser, who is the second all-time leading scorer, is anxious about the upcoming season.
"I'm really hoping for my best professional year ever," said Dresser. "Working with Coach Descombes has been a very positive experience so far and I believe that a positive start will lead to a positive finish for this team."
The '95 Cornerstone University graduate was a three time NAIA All-American. Prior to joining the Blast in '98, Dresser spent one season with the Grand Rapids Explosion and two seasons with the Charlotte Eagles.
Ottesen, 25, is in his third year with the Blast. Last year "Otter" played in 27 games and started 25 while contributing to two assists. The 2001 "Most Popular Player" will be a returning asset to the highly experienced midfield of the Blast. The University of Evansville graduate spent part of his career with the Lincoln Brigade and the Omaha Flames of the PDL (Premier Development League) before joining the Blast in '00.
Prosser, 25, is returning to the Blast for just his second year. During Prosser's first year he played in 22 games, started nine, and assisted two goals. Prosser spent his college career at Butler University and also played for the Indiana Invaders of the PDL.
