Blast President Thrown in Jail

INDIANAPOLIS- Kim Morris, President of MorSports, Inc. and the Indiana Blast has been thrown in jail, but for a good cause. Mrs. Morris will be participating in the Castleton Lock-up to benefit the Central Indiana Region of the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).

The deputy will be arresting Mrs. Morris tomorrow, July 9 at 12:00pm and will take her to Buca Di Beppo located at 6045 E 86th Street in the Castleton area. She will be held until her bail is met which is set at $1,500.

Mrs. Morris is so desperate to get out jail as fast as possible that she has extended an incentive of a free Family Four Pack of tickets to the Blast game on Sunday, July 14th with every $25 donation. Kim will be waiting with a fist full of tickets so come to Buca Di Beppo on Tuesday between 12-1pm with your checkbook or credit card ready. You may also call the Donation Hotline at 317.585.9203.

LAST WEEK-The Blast came home Sunday from their West coast trip earning one point. The Blast tied Vancouver 0-0 and lost to Portland and Seattle by the score of 4-1.

THIS WEEK-After taking Sunday off, the Blast are back at practice all week. Contact MorSports, Inc. for practice times and locations.

UPCOMING MATCHES-The next home match will be Sunday, July 14th at 7:05pm when the Blast host the El Paso Patriots at Kuntz Soccer Stadium. It's "Thunderstix Night" sponsored by Union Planters Bank.

On July 20th fans are invited to bring their dog to the game for the first annual "Dog Days of Summer" event when the Blast take on the Cincinnati Riverhawks at Kuntz Soccer Stadium. Kick-off time is 7:35 and gates open on the Dog Days of Summer at 6:30.

Fans are encouraged to send in an audition video showing why their dog should be included in the July 20 half time show. Other special activities for the day will include a Humane Society Dog Days of Summer Adoption Festival, an "ask the vet" booth, doggy goodies and pet care information from Petco, a Doggy Costume Contest, and more.

UPCOMING APPEARANCES-Blast players will be making an appearance at BD's Mongolian Barbeque located at 3838 E 82nd Street on Wednesday, July 10th from 6-8pm.

INDIANA BLAST SOCCER CAMPS-The Blast still have a few openings in several of their camps throughout Central Indiana including Danville July 8-12 and Westfield July 15-19. Space is limited and camps are filling up fast.
