
Blades tentative schedule released

Saskatoon Blades News Release
The Saskatoon Blades this morning released the team's tentative playing schedule (attached) for the 2005-06 WHL season. The season schedule is subject to change but will be finalized in early August. The WHL scheduling meetings were held yesterday here in Saskatoon at the Saskatoon Inn. The Blades will open the season with a home game versus the Swift Current Broncos, Friday September 23rd in Saskatoon, and September 24th going to Moose Jaw to play the Warriors. The Blades close out the 2005-06 campaign on St. Patty's Day, March 17th at Credit Union Centre versus the PA Raiders, then March 18th in Prince Albert. The crowning jewel will be Wednesday November 30th as the Blades host the CHL Canada-Russia Challenge. The Blades will also play New Years Day, Sunday January 1st at 4:00pm versus the Brandon Wheat Kings. The Blades will also be hosting a special Valentines Day Game on Tuesday February 14th versus the Brandon Wheat Kings.
In total the Blades have 5 Friday night home games, 12 Saturday night, 5 Sundays, 5 Tuesdays and 9 Wednesdays. In total the Blades came away with 22 weekend home dates, compared to 23 last season. The club will play 14 weekday games this season, compared to 13 a year ago.

The Early Bird deadline for 2005-06 Blades Season Seat Holders to renew their seat(s) at the discounted rate is tomorrow June 22nd. For the 2005-2006 season, adults can purchase season seats for $360 ($414 reg.), seniors/students for $280 ($305 reg.), and children/wheelchair for just $175. GST must be added to all prices. All season seat holders will continue to have "Club Seat Privileges", which provides fans the first opportunity to purchase their seat(s) for most Credit Union Centre 2005-06 events. Season seats must be paid in-full by 5pm on Wednesday June 22nd in order to qualify for the early bird rate. Fans can purchase early bird season seats by calling the Blades Ticket Team at 306-975-8844 or by visiting the friendly Blades staff at Credit Union Centre, or via email at info@saskatoonblades.com.
