Black Bears Promotional Schedule Brings Fireworks, Fun

Longview-Kelso, Washington: Wednesday, May 25, 2011: Press Release: Professional style minor league baseball is back in Cowlitz County! That means crazy, fun, and entertaining promotions throughout the entire season. The Black Bears released their 2011 promotional schedule, and it's packed with two fireworks displays, seven giveaway nights, the antics of World Famous Myron Noodleman (The Hippest Nerd in Da Biz), and a variety of great bargain nights.

Opening night, Friday, June 3rd kicks it off with Three Rivers Mall Magnetic Schedule Night (first 500 fans receive a magnet schedule) and a Fireworks Show presented by Links Four Corners General Store after the game.

"The Black Bears are committed to providing the most exciting fan experience possible," said Black Bears general manager Grant Wilson. "And, we're pulling out all the stops and also making games extraordinarily affordable for our great fans."

Youngsters will have fun June 11th with the Riverview Bank Kids Dash For Cash, where youngsters scoop up cash spread over the infield. June 23rd is Ball Giveaway for kids presented by Longview Fibre, women dig for three diamonds in the July 29th Gallery of Diamonds Diamond Dig, and a Black Bears T shirt giveaway sponsored by Dick Hannah Toyota on August 6th.

Kids Eat Free on Mondays, while Azteca $2 Tuesdays feature $2 general admission tickets, $2 hot dogs, $2 soda, and $2 beer. Wednesdays are Burgerville Family Night with 4 general admission tickets, 4 sodas, and 4 hot dogs for only $28. Thirsty Thursday's beer is only $2. Las Rocas Fabulous Friday's and Applebee's Saturday's at the Park are packed with outrageous promotions and giveaways. And Elder Options Kids Club and Senior Sundays includes free admission for Coldstone Creamery Kids Club members.

The Black Bears will play 31 home games throughout the summer, starting Friday night, June 3, at the new Story Field. Tickets for Opening Night and the second game of the season, Saturday, June 4, are on sale at the Black Bears Ticket Office at Story Field. The Black Bears are members of the West Coast League, a nine-team, professional style wood-bat summer college league. The WCL features pro prospects from major conferences across the country.
