Welcome to the first Black Bears newsletter of 2011. Our season is fast approaching and we are preparing for another fun summer at David Story Field. After our inagural season, we were voted as the No. 1 Sports Story by Daily News staffers and we hope to excede all your expectations this year! Read on to hear about some of our upcoming promotions and fun ways to enjoy games at the ballpark!

Our first game is scheduled for Friday, June 3rd at 6:35 PM against the Portland Bucks and we have an awesome fireworks show scheduled post game. Get your tickets early to reserve the best seat for the event. Then, come back on Saturday, June 4th for a 6:35 pm start against the Portland Dukes. Season Tickets going Fast

Story Field is filling up fast. The only way to guarantee a seat this summer is to purchase Season Tickets for all of the Black Bears 31 home games. Grandstand Tickets break down to only $7 per game while the "best seat in the house" Home Plate Club tickets are $12 per game. Those tickets are nearly gone, so get yours today! The never-a-wasted-ticket program assures all holders 31 entries into the ballpark. If you are out of town for a weekend, bring your tickets back to the box office and the Black Bears will find you a seat in the park.

Local Business Owner' We Want You!!

The Black Bears have limited availability of sponsorships remaining for the 2011 season. You can get on the waiting list for an outfield sign, or you can add your company name to our field level or concourse right now! We're also looking for special event sponsors and between inning promotional sponsors, so it's a good time to partner with Cowlitz County's newest sensation and reap the benefits of the town's excitement!

The Best Place to Host Your Summer Party

Whether you're looking for a place to host your next company picnic, birthday, or end of the year sports party, the Black Bears have you covered. With group packages starting at $5 a ticket and only an additional $10 for catering, the Black Bears will handle all preparation and clean up for your next event. We have limited weekend availability on the Bob's Sporting Goods Party Deck, so call today for further details and reserve your next outing before it's too late.

The Black Bears are still in need of host families for their 2011 players. Make memories forever by opening your home to one of the nation's top collegiate baseball players. Those that hosted last season were much appreciated and welcome to host again. All host families will receive 2 complimentary Season Tickets and 20% off all merchandise at Story Field. The Black Bears internship program offers a real world experience for those looking to enter the sports industry.
