"Black & Gold" Game set for Feb. 28th
February 9, 2004 - National Indoor Football League (NIFL)
Utah Warriors News Release
After an impressive 2003 inaugural season, that took Utah's only professional football team to the National Title Game, the Warriors are hungry to take the field again as they defend their Pacific Conference Title. Before the team's season opener on March 13th however, one more battle remains. This battle will take place on February 28th as two teams are formed to compete in the first ever Utah Warriors "Black & Gold" Game. Each team will carry a thirty-man roster for this game. The Black team (wearing the Warriors home black) will be composed primarily of players from last year's roster. The Gold team (wearing the Warriors away white and gold colors) will be composed of local talent, as well as indoor football veterans. Much more than a final score is on the line for these two teams however. The sixty participants will be competing for a spot on the final 2004 Utah Warriors roster! With only twenty-five spots available, this is guaranteed to be one of the hardest fought games of the entire year!
Tickets for the "Black & Gold" Game go on sale Monday, February 16th at 9:00 am at the E-Center in West Valley. Tickets Start as low as $6 â Kids, $12 â Adults.
Season tickets and group tickets for the 2004 season can be purchased by calling the Warriors Office at (801) 973-7311.
