The Bisons lost to the New Orleans Zephyrs (Houston Astros), 3-1 Thursday afternoon from Winter Haven, FL. It's the first loss for Buffalo this spring, snapping a five-game unbeaten streak.
Eight different Herd batters picked up base hits today. First baseman Eric Crozier singled, extending his hitting streak to six games. Tyler Minges (RF) and Luke Scott (LF) each doubled for Buffalo, while Nate Grindell (DH) drove in the lone Bison run.
On the mound, Matt Dewitt got the start and held the Zephyrs scoreless through three innings. Jose Vargas and Scott Sturkie chipped in, each throwing two scoreless innings.
The Bisons (4-1-1) take on the Richmond Braves (Atlanta Braves) Friday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. from Orlando, FL.
