
Bisons Add C Rene Rivera to Roster

Buffalo Bisons News Release
The Buffalo Bisons, Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets, today announced that C Rene Rivera has been promoted to the team from the Brooklyn Cyclones (A) roster.
To make roster room, INF/OF Nick Evans has been transferred to Binghamton (AA).
Rivera, 25, was on the Bisons Opening Day roster and played in six games with the team. He hit .182 (4-22) with a double and two walks. He threw out three of the seven base runners trying to steal (43%). On April 28, Rivera was transferred to Brooklyn.
In 2008, Rivera hit .250 (63-252) with nine home runs and 30RBI in 75 games between Jacksonville (AA) and Las Vegas (AAA) in the Los Angeles Dodgers' system.
