Bisons Activate INF Zach Lutz

The Buffalo Bisons today announced that INF ZACH LUTZ will be active for the club for tonight's 6:05 p.m. game against the Rochester Red Wings. Lutz was optioned by the Mets following their game last night.

OF RAUL REYES has been transferred to Double-A Binghamton. Also, the Mets are expected to activate OF ANDRES TORRES tonight from his MLB injury rehabilitation assignment with the Bisons.

Lutz was recalled to the Mets on April 24 and made his MLB debut that night against the Miami Marlins as a pinch hitter (strikeout). Lutz made his first big league start on April 27 against Colorado and picked up his first major league hit with a fifth-inning single against Esmil Rogers.

Lutz played in four total games with the Mets. He had one hit in eight at-bats and scored a run.

Torres played two games for the Bisons and was 1-7 with two walks, a stolen base and a run scored.

Reyes played 15 games with the Bisons this season and hit .219 (7-32) with two doubles, two RBI and five runs scored.
