Bishop and Mason among 14 Rampage free agents

The Arena Football League announced today that the 2006 free-agency signing period will begin on Wednesday, September 14 at 12:01am Eastern Time. Teams may begin contacting the 199 AFL free agents along with countless other free agents from the af2 and other leagues on August 31.

There are 14 Rampage players that will be available for free agency including: quarterback Michael Bishop; defensive specialists Raphael Ball, Cecil Doggette and Damon Mason; linemen Cecil Caldwell, Lance Clelland, Jason Gamble, Rod Manuel, Otis Moore, Chris White and Tyshaun Whitson; fullback/linebackers Travis McDonald and Travis Reece; and wide receiver/linebacker David Saunders.

Other notables in this year's free agency crop include former Rampage players like QB Clint Dolezel, FB/LB Chris Ryan, offensive specialists Terrill Shaw and Steve Smith along with ArenaBowl XVIII MVP Mark Grieb and six-time Ironman of the Year Barry Wagner.
