Reno Bighorns News Release
EL SEGUNDO, CALIF.- The Reno Bighorns entered Wednesday night's game with the first place Los Angeles D-Fenders as one of the league's top offenses, but the D-Fenders proved that defense wins out.
Memphis Grizzlies assignee Josh Selby scored 18 points and David Harrison had season-highs in points (12) and rebounds (10) but the D-Fenders held the Bighorns to 36.6 percent shooting and won the game 117-89. The Bighorns suffered their second-lowest scoring output of the season, largely due to the D-Fenders defensive effort against the NBA D-League's leading scorer Andre Emmett, who was held to nine points on 3-of-15 shooting.
The Bighorns were held to 35 first half points as the D-Fenders built a 20 point lead entering the half. Jamario Moon led the D-Fenders with 26 points and 10 rebounds. Christian Eyenga, on assignment from the Los Angeles Lakers, had 21 points, seven rebounds, four assists and three blocks.
Eric Devendorf had his second-straight game with a season-high of 18 points off the bench for the Bighorns. Will Blalock started at point guard for the Bighorns and posted seven points, eight assists and five rebounds.
The Bighorns return to Reno for the team's final two home games against the Idaho Stampede on March 30 at 7 p.m. and April 1 at 3 p.m. April 1 marks Fan Appreciation Day where every fan in attendance will receive a Reno Bighorns Fan Appreciation Day t-shirt.
Reno Bighorns group ticket packages are on sale today. Groups can experience one of the many Fan Experience Packages, including playing a game on the Bighorns court or performing a routine at halftime of a game. For more information call (775)853-8220 or visit RenoBighorns.com.
