
Bighorns Give Oklahoma City the Blues

OKLAHOMA CITY - The Reno Bighorns defeated the Oklahoma City Blue 116-109 Tuesday night at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City, improving their record to 6-5.
The Bighorns were led by Erick Green with 30 points, five rebounds and four assists. The Tuesday night contest marked the ninth straight game Green has scored over 20 points. Ricky Ledo netted 29 points and six rebounds during the contest while Vince Hunter logged his seventh double-double of the season with 12 points and 13 rebounds.
Green led the way for the Bighorns in the first quarter with 12 points, two rebounds and two assists as Hunter tallied four points and five rebounds. David Stockton had three points, three rebounds and three assists in the quarter.
In the second quarter, Stockton paced the team with eight points and one assist while Green went 2-2 from the field and 1-1 from behind the arc, adding six points for the Bighorns. Reggie Hearn had five points and four rebounds in the second quarter.
At the half, the Bighorns led the Blue 54-49.
The Bighorns took over of the lead in the third quarter and never let it go the remainder of the game. Ledo posted 16 points and five rebounds in the third quarter. Green notched eight points as Hearn and Chad Toppert added three points each. During the quarter, the Bighorns had a 16 point advantage over the Blue midway through the quarter, going 7-12 (58.3%) from the three-point range compared to the Blue going 2-7 (28.6%) from the behind the arc.
Hearn led the Bighorns in the final quarter with seven points while Ledo had six points. Stockton and Hunter netted five points each as Green had four points.
The Bighorns continue on the road, traveling to Dallas for a weekend doubleheader against the Texas Legends starting Friday at 5 p.m. (PST).
