
Bighorns Get First Win of Season over Grand Rapids

RENO, NEV., Nov. 16, 2014- On a cold night in Reno, the Bighorns heated up the court pulling out a victory against the Grand Rapids Drive 127-116.
Four Reno Bighorns players hit double-digits in scoring, led by Brady Heslip with 38 points. David Wear finished with 23 points and five rebounds, while Eric Moreland, on assignment from the Sacramento Kings, netted 16 points and totaled 12 rebounds.
Grand Rapids' Adonis Thomas had 30 points and rebounded five. Ben Hansbrough and Hasheem Thabeet from the Drive each scored 18 points.
The Bighorns trailed the Energy 42-19 at the start of the second quarter. After a 9-0 run opening the quarter, the Bighorns scored another 24 points to lead the Drive 54-53 at halftime. Bighorns head coach Dave Arseneault was pleased with how the team played.
"We gave people a chance to see what this system really can do," said Arseneault. "After a sluggish start the team started to heat up and shoot."
The Bighorns hit the road this week, playing the Bakersfield Jam this Friday, November 21. Reno will return home on Friday, December 12 to take on the Idaho Stampede.
