
Bighorns Dominate 66ers with First Home Win, 112-103

January 4, 2009---Reno Bighorns were on fire against the Tulsa 66ers in today's game, dominating all four quarters. Defense was stronger than ever as they had to battle against 66ers Ronald Dupree, Derrick Dial and Chris Richard who held top point honors.
Dupree, was the first scorer of the game, with Bighorns' Jesse Smith rebounding to Majic Dorsey adding 2 to the score. That was the last time the Tulsa 66ers saw any lead in the entire first half, 51-48 Bighorns.
The battle was not too strong for Antonio Meeking who led the first half with 12 points. Jamaal Thomas led the second half with 21.
"In the last five minutes, there was more determination offensively and defensively to complete our concepts," Coach Humphries said. "And that's what made the difference."
Jamaal Thomas was the leading scorer of the game with 29 points. Dupree ran a close second with 23 points.
The Reno Bighorns were nearly perfect from the free throw line, going 17 for 18 in the 4th quarter, which led them to victory, 112-103.
The next home game is next Saturday, January 10 at 7:00 p.m. at the Reno Events Center where it will be Hispanic Night.
