GARY, Ind. (January 14, 2004) – There is no need to go to the movies to see "Big Fish."

It is being played out not on the cinema screen, but live on the stage known as the Genesis Convention Center. It is basketball's version of "theatre-in-the-round."

There will be two showings this weekend, both at 7:05 p.m. as the Gary Steelheads, the Calumet Region's best entertainment value, host the Sioux Falls Skyforce on Friday and Saturday nights. Saturday's game will be televised live on Chicagoland's Television (CLTV).

The Steelheads (14-12), coming off a four-game road trip, are in third place, with a 3.62 quarter point average. The Skyforce (11-12) are right behind with a 3.59 quarter point average. Sioux Falls hosts Rockford on Thursday night.

"We want to keep the momentum going into the All-Star break," Steelheads Head Coach Duane Ticknor said. "It was good to get that win to finish off a four-game road trip."

Friday is Gary and Merrillville Community Night and the American Red Cross Blood Drive. Fans who donate blood will get two tickets to a future Steelheads game.

Saturday is State Farm Bank Night. Your good neighbor is the "Official Game Night Sponsor." Fans can visit the State Farm booth, which will be located in Genesis Convention Center. A State Farm representative will be available to answer questions and provide informational material about State Farm's array of products, including car and home loans.

It is also Teddy Bear Donation Night as fans are asked to bring a teddy bear for donation to the children in the special units at The Methodist Hospitals Northlake and Southlake campuses.

You can get hooked for as little as $5. To order seats by phone, please call the Steelheads office at (219) 882-4222.
