Austin Turfcats News Release
Austin, TX - True Austin Turfcats football fanatics and their families and friends came in droves to the first annual "Select-A-Seat Meet-and-Greet" kickoff party at the Super 8 Austin University/Downtown.
Fans met Turfcats staff, members of the Lady Turfcats Dance Team, and the coaching staff. The cheerleaders and staff signed autographs and posed for photos throughout the event.
Fans worked the arena seating chart for over 3.5 hours to pick that perfect game ticket for the upcoming 2009 Southern Indoor Football League season.
"The demand for season tickets in year one was great, we gave out over 1,000 tickets today and the season is still a week away. We will easily hit our attendance goals this season," said Vice-President/General Manager Ronald Oswalt.
Crowds gathered over 1.5 hours prior to the event just to ensure that perfect seat and to refine the art of tailgating.
Jack Dixon, Turfcats Game Operations Director added, "I have worked for teams before but this is the best turnout I have seen for this in Austin."
Opening day for the Turfcats is April 18 versus the Acadiana Mudbugs. Affordable sponsorship opportunities are still available to local businesses and are a great way to associate your company with a professional sports team.
Great locations are still available for the 2009 season! Act now to reserve the best seats. Call a Season Sales Representative today at 866-969-8228 (TCAT) to reserve your seats today.
