BOUCHERVILLE, Friday, September 2nd, 2005 (QMJHL) - The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's disciplinary committee imposed a three game suspension today, to Shawinigan Cataractes center BenoƮt Mondou.

The suspension follows an incident that occurred on August 27th, in a pre-season contest opposing the Cataractes to the Val-d'Or Foreurs, in which M. Mondou body-checked a player from behind.

Before rendering their decision, the disciplinary committee reviewed the video sequence of the incident and consulted all concerned parties. The suspension will start with the first game of the regular season schedule.

In accordance with the QMJHL's policy in the matter of disciplinary sanctions, the disciplinary committee will not be available for further comment.
