P.E.I. Rocket News Release
The PEI Rocket are pleased to announce that the on-line auction they initiated to cover the cost of headstones for Mitch MacLean and Tanner Craswell has been a resounding success, closing last night at 12:00 sharp. Over a period of 16 days, the team put together 15 items and people from all around the country and even into the United States bid to raise $7005, all of which will be going to the cause.
Trent Birt, the team's Vice President of Operations, says, "We are overwhelmed with the support shown by those that bid and individuals that came to us offering items for bidding. Our goal was to cover the cost of the headstones and we have done this. As an organization, we are obviously very excited about this and we would like to thank everyone that participated in any manner. It was a special 16 days watching the interest from everyone, including all of our players, staff, and the general public alike."
To see results of the auction, visit the Rocket website at www.peirocket.com/benefit_auction Each successful bidder will be contacted by Rocket personnel to arrange payment and delivery.
