Bend Elks News Release
The Bend Elks defeated the Victoria Harbour Cats 5-1 in West Coast League action Saturday night at Genna Stadium. Morehead State's Aaron Leasher took the mound for his first start of the season. Leasher threw 5 complete innings, giving up only 2 hits and one earned run for his first win of the season. Relievers Mac Gaul and Jake Forrester both each threw 2 innings of scoreless relief for the Elks. On the offensive side, Tyler Davis continues to implies at the plate, going 3 for 4 with 2 RBI's along with his second home run in two nights, and is now batting .471 after the fist week of WCL action.
The Elks return to action with the second Sunday day game of the season as the Elks attempt the second sweep of an opponent this week. The final game of the 3 game series against Victoria has its first pitch scheduled for 1:05 PM at Vince Genna Stadium with free live audio and video available at bendelks.com.
