Bend Elks Still in Need of Host Families

Players for the Bend Elks in 2013 will begin reporting to Bend in two months, but as of right now, they may not have a place to stay.
The Bend Elks are still short on host families for the up coming 2013 season.
Bend Elks players come to Central Oregon for a summer focused on baseball; they do not come to Bend with a job, and as NCAA athletes, they cannot be paid to play baseball for the summer. As a result, the players and the Elks depend on members of the community providing players with a place to stay, so they can play baseball for the summer.
Benefits of Being a Host Family:
In exchange for helping to host and feed a Bend Elks player for the summer, the Bend Elks provide the following to host families:
Season Tickets in the Preferred section for all home games Complimentary Sunday BBQ meals for the host family. Special recognition with season ending BBQ with the team.
Bat Boy opportunities if the host family has a Little Leaguer.
Many of our host families host players year after year because of the joy that they have in hosting a player, as they often become a part of the family. Some players have invited host families to their professional games and their weddings.

About Bend Elks Baseball Club
The Bend Elks Baseball Club opens its 2013 campaign on the road June 5, 2013 against the Walla Walla Sweets. The Home Opener will be on Wednesday, June 12th against the Cowlitz Black Bears, which will also be the first Free Kids Wednesday of the 2013 season, presented by Premier West Bank.
