Burlington Bees News Release
Burlington, IA - The Burlington Bees are pleased to announce that the team's home white and royal blue BP/Sunday game jerseys are for sale. The white jerseys are $100 and the blue mesh jerseys will sell for $75. These jersey sets were both purchased prior to the 2002 season and have been worn by the players over the last three years. Sizes range from 42-52.
The white jerseys worn by Donnie Murphy (#3), Chris Lubanski and Ruben Gotay (#6), and Mitch Maier (#18) will not be for sale, but will be made available through a series of on-line auctions at the Bees official website at www.gobees.com starting this fall. Murphy and Gotay were both named to the Bees All-Time Midwest League team after the 2003 season and were both called up to the big leagues by the Kansas City Royals this year. Lubanski and Maier were both selected by the Royals in the first round of the 2003 draft and were selected to the Midwest League All-Star team at mid-season. Maier was named the MVP of that game. The blue jerseys worn by Murphy and Maier will be available through the silent auction at the 3rd annual Winter Banquet coming up later this off-season.
Jerseys will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. To check on the availability of a particular size or number, or to place an order, fans can call the Bees at (319) 754-5705 or email to staff@gobees.com.
