Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees News Release
Laredo, Texas --- The Laredo Bucks doubled up the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees 4-2 Thursday night at the Laredo Entertainment Center. The win widens Laredo's Southeast Division lead to four points over the Bees, who sit in third place, and three points over the Texas Brahmas.
The Bucks took a 2-0 lead on first period goals by Rick Kozak and Serge Dube, but the Bees tied it up in the second on Robin Bouchard's 599th career goal and a power play tally by Trevor Weisgerber.
Laredo regained the lead just 32 seconds after Weisgerber knotted things up with Alex Goupil's ninth goal of the season. Darryl Smith tacked on a third period goal to close things out.
Wylie Rogers made 32 saves in goal for the Bees. His counterpart, Sebastien Centomo, turned aside 25 shots in the win.
The Bees (6-2-2) travel to Odessa on Friday to face the Jackalopes at 7:05 p.m.
