Omaha, Neb. (September 11, 2013) - Brian Fletcher belted a leadoff homer in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Omaha Storm Chasers a 2-1 win over the Salt Lake Bees on Wednesday night. Fletcher drilled a 1-1 pitch off Salt Lake's Chad Cordero to give Omaha a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five Pacific Coast League Championship Series. The series moves to Salt Lake with Game 3 scheduled for 6:35 p.m. MT on Friday, September 13 at Spring Mobile Ballpark.

"It was kind of like the first game," said Bees manager Keith Johnson. "We had some opportunities with runners, we were bunting guys over, we got a couple more leadoff guys on base this time and still weren't able to start pushing it across. We weren't able to execute that one inning and allowed them (Omaha) to tie the ballgame up. We're alright, we've got a lot of fight in us. All year we've been doing it at home so now we have our backs up against the wall. It's our turn to go home and try to get it done."

Salt Lake grabbed a 1-0 lead in the fourth when Efren Navarro led off with a single and advanced to second on a wild pitch. After Navarro moved to third on a ground out, Scott Cousins brought him home with a single to center through the pulled-in infield. Omaha tied the game in the seventh on two walks and a RBI single by Rey Navarro. After Cousins' RBI single gave the Bees the lead in the fourth inning, Salt Lake managed to get only two more baserunners the rest of the game on a one-out walk in the sixth to Efren Navarro and a leadoff single by Tommy Field in the eighth.

Efren Navarro led Salt Lake with two hits for his fourth multiple hit game of the playoffs. He has also hit safely in all six postseason games. All six of the Bees' playoff games have been decided by one run.

Tickets for the PCL Finals games in Salt Lake City will only be sold for games that are guaranteed to be played. For ticket information, call (801) 325-BEES or visit slbees.com with no online fees.
