Bees Announce 2009 Schedule

urlington, IA (September 26, 2008) - Fresh off their first Midwest League Championship since 1999, the Burlington Bees have released their 2009 schedule it was announced today. The 2008 Midwest League Champions will open the season next year at home at Community Field on April 9 against the Clinton LumberKings for a three-game series.

Once again, the Bees will play 70 home games which include nine in April, 14 in May, 16 in June, 16 in July, 12 in August, and will finish off the home schedule with three in September. The full schedule is available online at www.gobees.com or by stopping by the Bees' office at Community Field. Game times and promotional nights will be announced in the near future.

The 2009 season will be the Bees' 49th year in the Midwest League and the 87th season of professional baseball in Burlington dating back to 1889. The upcoming season will be the ninth as an affiliate of the Kansas City Royals, making the current Major League relationship the second-longest in franchise history.
