Bees Announce 2009 Promitional Calendar

Burlington, IA (March 16, 2009) -The Burlington Bees are pleased to announce an impressive lineup of special events on tap to enhance the experience of a game at Community Field this season.

The season will get off to a fast start with the home opener on Thursday, April 9th featuring the traditional magnet schedule giveaway sponsored by Mazzio's Italian Eatery. Saturday, April 11th will feature the Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the Burlington Rotary Club. The first of five fireworks shows will take place after the game against Kane County on April 24th.

May is always highlighted by the annual Community Basket Day, to be held this year on Sunday, May 17th. Included in this year's basket is a brand new 2009 Chevrolet Aveo. On May 16th, the Bees will honor our service men and women on Armed Forces Night.

June will feature a host of promotional nights. Hawaiian Luau Night is scheduled for June 12th with the second fireworks show to be the following night on the 13th. Then on June 25th, the first 500 fans will receive a free set of the 2009 Bees Baseball Cards courtesy of Applebee's. Royals Night is scheduled for the 26th. On Sunday, June 28th, the Bees will honor all Little League baseball and softball teams in the annual Little League Recognition Day sponsored by The Hawk Eye.

The Bees open the month of July with a bang with the annual holiday fireworks extravaganza on Saturday, July 4th. The first 500 fans will receive a 2009 Team Photo courtesy of Burlington Trailways and Photovisions on July 11th. Also taking place is Jimmy Buffett Night on Friday, July 17th and Christmas Eve in July on Friday, July 24th.

Cubs vs. Cards Rivalry Night will open things up in August on the 7th. Find out if you're a winner on Pot O'Blue & Gold Night on August 8th. Saturday, August 15th is the Burlington/West Burlington Area Partnership Night with fireworks after the game sponsored by the Greater Burlington Convention and Visitors Bureau. Support your favorite in-state school on Iowa-Iowa State Rivalry Night on August 27.

Enjoy the last home game of the regular season on September 4th with a fireworks show courtesy of J&M Displays.

The Bees will have four Community Weekends throughout the season. During Community Weekends, fans that live in the designated cities can show their ID at the ticket window and get a special general admission ticket for just $3.
