Bayou Bucks Attend NIFL League Meetings

Houma, La--- On September 12th and 13th representatives from the Bayou Bucks organization, including Bucks co-owner Neil Suard, attended the annual NIFL league meetings in St. Louis, Missouri. Topics of discussion included the continued growth of NIFL through expansion and the development of a national television broadcast agreement for 2004 season. More details concerning these matters will be released on a later date.

Bucks Announce Organizational Changes: Bucks Head Coach Jack Phillips, who has been recently named to the NIFL Rules and Regulations Committee, has accepted the promotion to serve as the club's assistant general manager. Phillips will also continue in his current capacity as the head coach and director of football operations.

Mrs. Kris Suard, Bayou Bucks co-owner, has taken the position of general manager for the Bayou Bucks organization. Her duties will include the coordination of all the day to day operations of the professional football franchise. She will be replacing Travis Carrell, who will be consulting the Bayou Bucks on NIFL related matters.

The Bayou Bucks, Houma's first professional sports franchise, is entering its third year in the National Indoor Football League. After an inaugural season record of five wins and nine losses, the Bucks bounced back in year two, posting a ten and four record before getting ousted in the first round of the play-offs by the Lake Charles Land Sharks. The Bayou Bucks are currently making preparations to make the 2004 season the best in the team's history.
