Baltimore, MD(March 16, 2005)- The Baltimore Bayhawks announced a trade that will bring midfielder David Curry to their roster in exchange for defenseman Jamie Hanford.

Curry has been a consistent leader on the field for the Pride for the past four season. He was selected to the MLL All-Star team in each of his first three years in the league. In the New Jersey Pride stat book, Curry led Pride midfielders in points scored with 37 and two-point goals in 2004 with 2, along with being the team's all-time two-point leader. In the League annals, his stats are just as impressive; he ranks 14th on the career goals list with 95, 10th on the career points list with 153, 8th in the career assists with 48, and 5th in two-point goals with 10.

Hanford, who was acquired from Bridgeport in 2002, has been a dominant defender since the inception of the league. He has also been a solid face-off man for Baltimore behind Paul Cantabene, taking 21 face-offs in 2003 and 6 in 2004.

"I have been involved with Jamie for seven years going back to his days with Team Toyota, and have always been nothing but impressed with his ability against the most elite offensive players in the world," said Baltimore GM Jay Pivec. "Being in New Jersey will bring [Hanford] closer to home (in Connecticut), and we are excited about the strength of our midfield with Curry on the roster, so we feel this move benefited everyone involved."
