
BayHawks Take Two from Wizards

Erie, Pennsylvania, Tuesday, December 28 - The Erie BayHawks defeated the Dakota Wizards 92-81 on Tuesday night at the Tullio Arena to complete the two-game sweep. Tasmin Mitchell had a double-double for the BayHawks scoring 11 points and ripping down 10 boards.
Dakota came out strong early to take a 26-21 lead in to the second quarter. A relatively even second frame kept the Wizards ahead at halftime, 48-44.
But the BayHawks owned the third quarter outscoring the Wizards 25-14 to take over the lead and Erie never looked back. Cleveland Cavaliers Assignee, Christian Eyenga ignited the BayHawks scoring with 10 points in the third.
Eyenga led Erie (9-5) with 21 points, his Cavaliers teammate and fellow assignee Samardo Samuels chipped in 17 including going 9 for 10 from the free throw line. Ivan Johnson added 14 and Cedric Jackson had 10.
The Wizards (4-11) were led by Vernon Hamilton with 18 points, Demarre Carroll added 15, Chris Johnson scored 12 and Darren Cooper chipped in 10.
Erie travels to Portland, Maine Thursday to take on the Maine Red Claws at 7:00 pm ET.
