Erie, Pennsylvania, Tuesday, July 7, 2015 - The Erie BayHawks are pleased to announce the hiring of Danny Morrissey as the Vice President of Marketing and Innovation. Morrissey, by way of a Philadelphia-based technology company, brings with him extensive experience in customer engagement and experiential technologies to help the BayHawks further and enhance the fan experience.

Morrissey recently served as co-founder and VP Business Development of eThree, a portfolio company of Philadelphia based venture capital fund, SeventySix Capital, which has invested some of the leading consumer and enterprise technology companies including Nutrisystem, Seamless, IndiGoGo, Whistle Sports and Dwolla. "It was a tremendous opportunity to grow over the last several years alongside one of the country's foremost venture capital funds. I was fortunate to have been exposed to what's next when it comes to user experiences and customer engagement. I am excited to translate that into how we engage with the BayHawks fan base and our partners."
Morrissey, a native of Cleveland, Ohio and graduate of Penn State University, is a former Nittany Lion Men's Basketball standout. As Captain of the 2009 NIT Championship team, Danny helped lead the Nittany lions to their most wins in school history, while finding success on the court and off. Danny finished 4th all time in 3-pointers made in school history, was voted as a CoSIDA Academic All-America selection (2008), Academic All Big-Ten (2006-2009), and Senior Lowe's Class award finalist.
