BayHawks Fall Short to Iowa

ERIE - The Erie BayHawks (3-8) led at the half but fell short at the end, losing to the Iowa Energy (9-1) 99 - 90 at the Tullio Arena.

The Energy had six players in double figures, led by veteran center Earl Barron who was the game's top scorer with 25 points. Cartier Martin notched 21 and Jeff Trapagnier added 15 in the win.

Ivan Harris led all BayHawk scorers with 21 points. Donell Taylor added 19 and Alade Aminu chipped in with 16. Newly acquired guard Cliff Clinkscales had a double-double with 16 assists and 14 points in the loss.

The game was marked with 28 personal foul calls against the BayHawks and got chippy in the fourth quarter with Energy guard Curtis Stinson being accessed a double technical and being ejected from the game.

The BayHawks will square off with the Energy again tomorrow afternoon in a

2 PM at the Tullio Arena. The first 1000 fans will receive a free BayHawks rally towel courtesy of the Erie. The home stand with Iowa continues, Sunday December 27, 2pm at the Tullio Arena with the first 1000 fans receiving a rally towel courtesy of the Erie County Recycling program.
