BayHawks Conduct Food Drive to Benefit SPAN

NNAPOLIS, MD . - The Chesapeake Bayhawks, Smartlink, and Driven partnered together to conduct a food drive to benefit SPAN ("Serving People Across Neighborhoods"), a local organization that provides food and fiÂ-nancial assistance to qualiÂ-fied individuals and families helping them through critical or emergency situations in Anne Arundel County, Maryland.

Bayhawks owner Brendan Kelly believes in being involved in the community and giving back to the causes that are near and dear to the players' hearts. The team donates tremendously to both local and national organizations all year round.

"The Bayhawks we take pride in giving back to the community, not just during the holiday season, but throughout the year," said Kelly. "SPAN provides substantial support to those in need and we are happy to play a part in helping them towards their mission."

The three companies owned by Kelly donated collected items from the food drive to SPAN's Severna Park location on Wednesday, November 27th, before the Thanksgiving holiday.
