Mobile BayBears News Release

Mobile, A.L.- LET IT SNOW! SnowMagic Entertainment USA and the Mobile BayBears Professional Baseball Club announced today the arrival of its temperature independent Infinite Crystal Snowmaking (ICS) machine to Hank Aaron Stadium. The ICS machine will be used for creating a Snow Park that will include snow tubing, snowboarding and snow play area for the kids.

"The Mobile BayBears are continually exploring new opportunities to provide year round use of Hank Aaron Stadium and our number one goal is to offer affordable family fun for the entire Mobile Bay Area and surrounding communities." Said BayBears President Bill Shanahan.

SnowMagic uses a technology developed and patented by Piste Snow Industries of Japan. In 1993 SnowMagic manufactured the world's first temperature independent snow creating system. Using this technology, the ICS system freezes water to create tiny snow crystals. The snow crystals are blown out with explosive force, creating snow with a natural feel and texture, with an average micron size (diameter) of 0.3 millimeters.

SnowMagic President Albert Bronander said, "After traveling to several different locations throughout the south, the choice was easy to come to Hank Aaron Stadium and the BayBears".

The Mobile BayBears are working with SnowMagic on this exciting project to bring snow to the south...and into Mobile, Alabama...Snowtubing for the kids, families getting the opportunity to play in the snow for the first time, mom and dad helping their little ones create their first ever snowman.

The BayBears Snow Park is scheduled to open on November 20th, 2004 and remain open through the first week of February 2005. Ticket Prices will be $6 for children, $8 for students and $10 for adults. Each ticket will be good for a two hour session in the BayBears Snow Park.
