Stars Release Promotional Schedule and Game Times

Huntsville, AL – The Huntsville Stars released game times for their 2005 home schedule and a preliminary schedule for 2005 promotions. New events at Joe Davis Staduim include Family Fun Nights, "Safe at Home" day, Camp Day, "Shoot for the Stars" Space Night, and Bucky Jacobsen and Ben Sheets bobblehead nights. Returning after resounding reviews last season are "Three Rs with the Stars" School Days, Fireworks Fridays and Thirsty Thursdays.

The Stars' standard game time remains 7:05 p.m. Monday through Saturday, with Sunday game times set for 2:05 p.m. from April 15 through June 20 and 6:05 p.m. from June 20 through the end of the season. Business Person's Specials start at 12:05 p.m. on Tuesdays from April 15 through June 7.

Mondays will be Family Fun Nights at the Joe in 2005, with discounted tickets and concessions for families and an autograph session with Stars players before the game. Additionally, plans are in the works to have a cartoon character mascot on hand to entertain during each Family Fun Night.

"Safe at Home" day at the Joe is planned for a 2:05 game August 7, with testimonials, a Christian concert and presentation from evangelist Scott Dawson following the game. Camp Day occurs on June 15, when summer camps around the Tennessee Valley will be invited for a 12:05 game at Joe Davis Stadium.

"Shoot for the Stars" Space Night is planned for April 29, with the Stars donning futuristic, sci-fi jerseys that will be auctioned off during the game. The Space and Rocket Center will have a display at the ballpark and give away a free SPACE CAMP® experience to a lucky youngster, and fireworks follow the game.

"Three Rs with the Stars" is expanding for 2005, with three "School Days" planned for 10:05 a.m. games on April 20, May 4 and May 18. Children enjoy a ballgame, sack lunch and an educational experience at the Joe, with available lesson plans focused on language arts, mathematics, science and social studies.

Season ticket packages, group outings, picnics and promotional opportunities are now available for the 2005 season. Season ticket pricing remains unchanged for 2005. For further information, call the Stars office at (256) 882-2562.
