Mobile, Ala. – The Mobile BayBears ended their four-game losing streak Sunday night as they defeated the Huntsville Stars 6-3 in front of 2,178 fans at Hank Aaron Stadium. The win moves them to within four games of the Stars with 14 games remaining in the second half.

BayBears starter Duncan McAdoo picked up the win with six strong innings of work. McAdoo (5-7) allowed four runs (three earned) on six hits while striking out four. Closer Bryan Gaal earned his third save of the season as he retired the final five batters he faced, four via the strikeout.

J.J. Furmaniak added an RBI single in the bottom of the fourth. His two out single scored Knott and gave the BayBears a 2-0 lead.

The BayBears extended their lead to 4-0 as Todd Donovan drove in Freddy Guzman with his sixth homerun of the year.

The Stars closed the gap as they scored single runs in the sixth and seventh off of McAdoo, making the score 4-2.

The BayBears scored single runs of their own in the seventh and eighth to put the game away. Kevin Reinking was at the heart of the action. In the seventh Reinking scored on a wild pitch by Ken Ray and in the eighth Reinking drove in Jake Gautreau with a sacrifice fly.

The BayBears and Stars will play game three of their series Monday night at 7:05. Chris Rojas (5-9) will start on the mound for Mobile against Huntsville's Dave Nolasco (2-2).

As always on Mondays at Hank Aaron Stadium, it will be guaranteed win night at Hank Aaron Stadium. If the BayBears fail to win Monday night, all fans in attendance will receive a free ticket to Tuesday night's series finale.
