BayBears Spotlight a Special Saturday at "The Hank"

On Saturday, July 21, Wade Vadakin, the Mobile BayBears long time Director of On Deck Circle Operations will be honored for his 1,000th game. Vadakin began his career with the BayBears in 1997 and has been promoted to the Major Leagues on a couple of occasions. A bat boy of world renown, come help the BayBears celebrate this milestone game and see Wade-O "Ride the Bull" each time the BayBears score a run. The BayBears will also play host to a friendly softball game between 95 KSJ and their sister station, 107.3 FM Hit Music Now at Hank Aaron Stadium. The Softball Classic will take place before the BayBears take on the Pensacola Blue Wahoos at 7:05 PM.
Former BayBear PA Announcer Matt McCoy will be coaching the 107.3 FM team. BayBears manager Turner Ward will play and help coach for Dan Brennan and the KSJ team while BayBears hitting coach, Jay Bell will be playing and help coach for 107.3 FM team. The softball game will begin at 5:35pm and last for an hour or six innings, whichever happens first. Dan Brennan will coach and play with KSJ, along with Shelby Mitchell and Bill Black as well as listeners who have won the chance to play in the game.
The BayBears return to Hank Aaron Stadium Thursday, July 19, to open up a four game homestand vs. the Pensacola Blue Wahoos at 7:05 PM. Fans can purchase tickets to the 2012 Southern League Playoffs by calling the BayBears ticket office at (251) 479-BEAR (2327), Monday through Friday, 9-5 PM.
