Bay Sox looking to continue their hot streak winning coming into Newport, RI tonight, but couldnt. At the start, the Sox were hot. Jake Winkler(U of San Francisco), and Thomas Blandini (Southern New Hampshire U) started things off for New Bedford with back to back singles.

Coming up to the plate is the red hot, Alex Brickman doubled to right field, scoring Winkler giving the Bay Sox a 1-0 lead in the first.

Winkler picked up right where he left off in the first with a line drive down the third base line. Jack Suddleson (Harvard U) continues his outstanding summer with a double to left field.

Again, the Red hot Brickman comes through with a clutch double, scoring Winkler to give the Sox a 2-0 lead.

The Bay Sox offense was silenced by the pitching from Jordan Marks of Newport, not allowing a hit until the 7th inning.

Mike White (Stone Hill College) got in some trouble throughout the game, but the defense backed him up. Mike White pitched in 3 1/3 gave up five hits, giving up just one run, and striking out one.

The offense the Bay Sox has was in the top of the 9th, but it was already a 11-2 ballgame. Tommy Siedl (Harvard U) hit a 2-Run Blast to try to get something going, but it was too late.

Newport defeats New Bedford at a score of 11-4.

Bay Sox looking to rebound quick, back home on Tuesday against the Upper Valley Night Hawks.
