BattleWings Set Second Annual Pre-Season Fan Fest for March 16th

Bossier City, LA - The 2008 Southwest Division champions Bossier-Shreveport BattleWings will hold their second annual pre-season BattlePalooza Fan Fest on Monday, March 16th from 6:00-

8:00 PM at the CenturyTel Center in Bossier City. This FREE event is open to the public and will give fans their first look at the BattleWings' 2009 squad and the Fly Girls Dance Team.

Fans will also get a behind-the-scenes look at a full practice session as head coach Jon Norris will be wearing a wireless microphone on the field as the players and coaches go through drills. "It is a great opportunity for the public to come out and get a taste of what we do on a daily basis" said Coach Norris.

In addition, there will be sign up tables for BattleWings' Booster Club information, Fly Girls Jr. Dance Camp, the BattleWings Kids' Club, and an autograph session. Fans will also have the opportunity to bid on their favorite 2008 BattleWings player's jerseys. Our newly improved mascot, Winger, will be there to give fans a taste of what the season will be like with him leading the crowd! Fans wishing to purchase season tickets will be able to "pick their seat" as well.

The concession stands are going to be open and there will be drawings for BattleWings' merchandise and even an opportunity for a fan to win a chance to be a BattleWings player for a game. 98 Rocks will be there broadcasting live and the fans will be shown the 2008 Southwest Division championship season highlight video for the first time. "People will be able to get up close and personal and get a taste of the excitement that is to come in 2009" said Coach Norris.
