Battery Takes on Phoenix FC Wolves

Charleston, SC. The Charleston Battery takes on the Phoenix FC Wolves on Wednesday night at Blackbaud Stadium; gates open at 6 PM with kick off set for 7:30 PM. The Battery (8-5-6) enters the game on the back of a hard fought 1-0 victory over the Dayton Dutch Lions on Friday night.

Wednesday's game will be broadcast live on Sports Radio 1450 AM presented by the Angie Gainey Bailey Real Estate team and will also be available at USLNation.com.

Nicki Paterson scored the lone goal on Friday night converting a penalty-kick in the 60th minute after Dane Kelly was brought down in the box. The goal was Paterson team-leading sixth of the USL PRO season.

Charleston enters the match in sixth position in the USL PRO standings two points behind the LA Blues; the top eight teams advance to the USL PRO playoffs.

Phoenix (4-10-7) are in 11th position, the Wolves held the Richmond Kickers to a 2-2 tie in their last game played last Friday night in Phoenix.

This is the first ever meeting between the teams. The Battery heads to Phoenix for the return fixture on Saturday, August 10.

Following the match versus Phoenix the Battery will remain at home on Saturday night for a 7:30 PM match versus the LA Blues.
