
Bats to Introduce New Owners

Austin Ice Bats News Release
The Austin Ice Bats of the Central Hockey League have scheduled a press conference for tomorrow, Wednesday, July 2nd, to introduce members of the team's new ownership group. The press conference will take place beginning at 1pm, in the Maximillian Room at the Driskill Hotel, 604 Brazos St. in downtown Austin. In addition to members of the new ownership, CHL President Brad Treliving and Austin Mayor Will Wynn are scheduled to be present. All area media are encouraged to attend.
Ice Bats fans will also have an opportunity to meet the new owners at a "meet and greet" party, to take place from 6 to 8pm on Wednesday evening, at the Hard Rock Café Austin, 222 East Sixth Street. Members of the new ownership group and Ice Bats staff and players will be on hand to greet fans and answer questions. Admission to the event is free.

The 2003-04 CHL season begins October 16th, with the Ice Bats in defense of their Southeast Division and Governors' Cup titles. The team's complete game schedule will be finalized and released in July. Season tickets for the upcoming season are on sale now at the Ice Bats office, with no price increase from last season. Free Belfry Club membership is still included for all new full season packages, as well as free parking for all full-season and half-season plans.
