New Bedford Bay Sox News Release
The Bay Sox rally started right away with a single from Jack Winkler (U of San Francisco), followed by a 2-Run Home Run from Jake Suddleson (Harvard U) making it a 2-0 game.
In the top of the 2nd, the Bay Sox started a rally of the year. Tommy Siedl (Harvard U) reached on an error, Siedl then scores on a base hit from Bryan Hart (Bryant U) making it a 3-0 game.
Lineup rolls over, and Winkler singles to right field, moving the third is Hart with 1 out. Thomas Blandini (Southern New Hampshire University) now up to the plate, hits a sharp ground ball to the first basemen Vargas, Vargas commits an error, scoring Hart, and Winkler now in a 5-0 game still with 1 out.
Suddleson, Zachary Buck (Holy Cross), and Andrew Rapoza (Barry U) all getting a hit, continuing this one out rally. Now making it a 7-0 game in the 2nd. The last big hit of this rally is from Hart again. Hart singles, scoring Siedl making it a 9-0 game.
In the top of the 4th it's a 9-3 Sox lead, and Sam Henrie (Southern New Hampshire) kicks off another rally with a lead off double. Siedl up to the plate, singles, runners on first, and third.
Elijah Brown (Sacred Heart) up to the plate, hits a huge 3-Run home run. 12-3 Bay Sox in the 4th.
RJ Wagner (Dayton U) held things down on the mound for 4 innings, striking out three, and giving up three hits, three runs, and three walks.
Henry Ennen(Northeastern U) got the win tonight, he pitch an inning, and two thirds. Ennen walked three batters, but got out of trouble by a stunning 1-6-3 DP to get out of it.
Christian Rosati (Southeastern U) came into the game with the bases loaded, but worked his way out of it. Roasti pitched in two and two/thirds of innings,gave up two hits, walked one batter, while striking out four. Rosati gave up no runs, closing this ball game out, giving the Bay Sox their second win of the season.
Bay Sox improve to 2-8 on the season. Back at it tomorrow at home against the Mystic Schooners. First pitch scheduled for 6:30pm.
