
Barrage Partner with Comcast-Spectacor

Philadelphia, PA (February 10, 2006) - The Philadelphia Barrage of Major League Lacrosse (MLL), the premier professional outdoor lacrosse league, have joined forces with the Comcast-Spectacor Group Sales department to help sell Barrage group packages for the 2006 season. Comcast-Spectacor will promote Barrage group tickets within the Philadelphia area to their current clients. They will employ a strategic direct mail campaign of group offers to different areas throughout the Delaware Valley. Comcast-Spectacor will utilize an email database with over 120,000 addresses for the purpose of selling the Barrage group packages. Thirteen group sales representatives will proactively sell the campaign that will focus on selling Barrage tickets. Some of the different organizations and companies the group sales department will focus on are colleges, high schools and middle schools, hospitals, bus and tour companies, fire and police departments, and boy, girl and Eagle scouts.
In addition to selling group tickets for the Philadelphia Barrage, the Comcast-Spectacor Group Sales department also sells tickets for events at the Wachovia Complex, including Philadelphia Flyers hockey, 76ers basketball, Phantoms hockey, Wings indoor lacrosse, all family shows and additionally scheduled events in the most active sports and entertainment complexes in the United States.
Comcast-Spectacor (comcast-spectacor.com) is the Philadelphia-based sports and entertainment company which owns the Philadelphia Flyers (NHL), the Philadelphia 76ers (NBA), the Philadelphia Phantoms (AHL), the two arenas in which their teams play, the Wachovia Center and Wachovia Spectrum, four Flyers Skate Zone community ice skating and hockey rinks and Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia. In a partnership with Disson Skating, Comcast-Spectacor annually produces 10 nationally televised figure skating spectaculars on NBC.
