Barrage Finalize 2006 Roster

Philadelphia, PA (May 17, 2006) - After several weeks of pre-season training camps, Major League Lacrosse's Philadelphia Barrage has announced their 2006 roster. The 23-man roster welcomes back many players from the 2005 roster as well as a few new faces.
The Barrage attack will once again feature the threatening combination of Ryan Boyle, B.J. Prager, and Mike Springer, all of who scored over 20 goals last season. Jed Prossner also returns, hoping to add to Philadelphia's offensive power.
Returning midfielders for the 2006 season will include Roy Colsey, Bobby Horsey, Matt Lucas, Chris Rogler, and Matt Striebel. Jack deVilliers joins the Barrage after an off-season trade. Also, acquired in the off-season is Justin Smith, who played for Rochester and Shaun Lyons who played for Long Island in the 2005 season. Rookie Chris Kramer of Villanova will enjoy his rookie season in Philadelphia after being selected in the 21st round of the 2006 Supplemental Draft. Also adding depth at the face off position will be Jason Motta. Brian Tempone who graduated from Loyola in 2001 will complete the midfield lines.
The majority of the Barrage defense returns intact with Joe Ceglia, Brian Kuczma, Brian Spallina, and Kyle Sweeney. Once again, the defense will be anchored by veteran goalie Brian 'Doc' Dougherty. Keevin Galbraith and goalie Kevin Keenan will join the Barrage defense in solidifying the 2006 roster.
Philadelphia opens their season this Saturday, May 20th at historic Franklin Field on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania, followed by five games at Villanova University.
