Barracudas Welcome Costa to the Fold

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Barracudas Director of Communications Woody Carlson announced today the hiring of Dino Costa as the "Voice of the Barracudas."

"Dino is quickly becoming a strong voice in the Jacksonville sports community," Carlson said. "Dino has a vast knowledge of hockey and he understands what it's going to take to popularize this great sport in Jacksonville and the surrounding communities."

Costa is the Afternoon Drive host of the highly popular Dino Costa Show heard weekdays from 3-6pm on Sporting News Radio, 1570AM The Winner.

"I'm more than excited to be a part of the Barracudas family," Costa said. "I feel very privileged to be invited to take part in the inaugural season of hockey in the brand new arena, and I'll look to do my part in helping foster a hockey intensive culture in Jacksonville."

The Barracudas will be back in action on Saturday night as they travel to South Florida to battle the Miami Manatees who beat the Macon Trax 10 - 6 in their opener. Face-off time is 7:05 and you can catch all the action live on IRN.fm through the Barracudas official website, www.jacksonvillebarracudas.com.

The Barracudas return home for their Home Opening Weekend Celebration, November 28th vs. Miami Manatees. Face-off time is 7:05 and the JEDC Sports and Entertainment Board present the first sporting event ever in the brand new Veteran's Memorial Arena. Then on Saturday afternoon, November 29th, the Barracudas host the Macon Trax with a special matinee face-off time of 12:35.
