
Barracudas sign Bret Peppler

Today, the Jacksonville Barracudas Hockey Club announced that they have signed forward Bret Peppler to an agreement for the 2005-2006 SPHL season.
Peppler, 20, is beginning his first professional season. He began the season with the Missouri River Otters of the United Hockey League, where he played in two games. The 5-foot-8, 175-pound forward completed his junior hockey career last season with the Swan Valley Stampeders of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League. He is expected to be in the lineup Thursday night.
The 2-2 Barracudas will look to bounce back from their defeat on Thursday, November 3rd, as they face the Knoxville Ice Bears. Face off is at 7:05pm at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena. It will be "Throw-Em Back Thursday" at the Arena as draft beer is 2-for-1 during the first period, and 50% off during the second period in the sports lounge for all fans 21-and-over.
