Jacksonville Barracudas News Release

The Jacksonville Barracudas Hockey Club is encouraging everyone in North Florida to join them as they help celebrate the grand re-opening of their new home venue, Jacksonville Ice. Jacksonville Ice's "Expo and Registration Party" will take place on Saturday, August 18th from 9:00am until 4:00pm.

"It's a great chance for local sports fans and families to check out the great ongoing work being done at the facility, and join in on the great programs Jacksonville Ice offers," said Barracudas' General Manager Gilles Richard. "It will be a opportunity for fans to come view our new seating chart for the first time, and secure their spot for the season. It will be important for fans to act now, because we anticipate that every game will be a complete sell-out. "

Barracudas' Head Coach Rick Allain will be on-hand in the morning, offering a free Hockey 101 clinic from 9:00am until 9:30pm, while off-the-ice Barracudas' mascot Chomper and the Ice Girls will be hosting a meet and greet breakfast.

The festivities continue all-day long, with games and giveaways from Radio Disney, a youth-hockey exposition, a learn-to-skate session, a figure skating exposition, and a public skate session.

For more information on the event, visit the Jacksonville Ice website at www.jaxiceskating.com or call the arena at 904-399-3223.
